There are 2 matches on this week, so club night will be at Meadowdale Primary School, 7.45pm – 9.30pm. The address is Meadowdale Road, LE16 7XQ.
Due to the number of people either playing in matches or who are away, it seems there will only be 1 or 2 people available for club night this Friday (19th Jan 2018). Therefore we have decided to cancel the booking at Meadowdale and club night for this week.
Apologies to the people who may have gone down, but it wouldn’t have been a viable club night. We hope to see you at club night at Welland Park next Friday (26th Jan 2018).
Just a reminder that the Harborough Feathers Christmas night out is taking place on Saturday 16th December. We are meeting at 7:30pm in The Angel Hotel, Market Harborough and will be going on from there to various local watering holes. We hope to see you all there.
The following club nights will now be at Meadowdale Primary School from 7:45pm to 9:30pm due to matches at Welland Park:
- Friday 22nd September 2017
- Friday 19th January 2018
- Friday 9th March 2018
Please see here for directions to Meadowdale Primary School.
The club calendar has been updated to reflect these changes.
The new season starts with club night on Friday 1st Sep, 7:30pm at Welland Park School. We hope to see you all there.
So we can register members on time, please ensure that membership fees are paid by the end of September. There is a reduction of £10 in membership fees if payment is received before 1st October. For more information see the Fees page.
For more information on the new season, see the HF beginning season 2017 letter that was also sent out by email.
The Harborough Feathers AGM took place on 16th May 2017. Please find a link to the minutes from the AGM below.
There was a low turn out at the AGM and a lack of apologies given. This was extremely disappointing, as it is very difficult to make decisions that are in the best interest of the club if there is no input from the Membership. You will see that the decision was taken to increase membership fees to £130, with £20 being given back to members who attended the AGM. The committee has since decided to suspend this increase for one year, for a decision to be made at the 2018 AGM to allow members to give their opinion. However, if members don’t attend the AGM, then the committee has to make decisions that may be unpopular.
We continue to encourage all members to take an active interest in the running of the club, as without this the club cannot function. If you are willing to get involved, please speak to one of the existing committee members.
The AGM will take place on Monday 15th May at 7.30pm at The Angel, Market Harborough.
The agenda and minutes from the last AGM can be downloaded below:
All positions on the Committee are available for election. They are as follows:
We would encourage everyone to consider if they are willing to take on a position on the Committee. If you are interested in any of the roles on the Committee, then please let me know by Friday 12th May. If you want to know more about a role, then please speak to Helen or any of the other Committee members. The club cannot run, unless members are willing to get involved. In particular we will need new Team captains for the Doubles Team and the Mens 2nd Team, as both of the present incumbents are standing down and will not be taking on that role next season. If these teams are to to run, as with all the teams, they need captains. So unless people come forward, we’ll have to consider the future of these teams.
We hope to see as many of you as possible at the AGM and on the remaining club nights. The last club night is Friday 26 May.
The Harborough Feathers AGM will take place on Monday 15th May from 7.30pm – 9.30pm.
The venue is to be confirmed.
There are 2 matches on this week, so club night will be at Meadowdale Primary School, 7.30pm – 9.30pm. The address is Meadowdale Road, LE16 7XQ
Just to note that they have a booking for footballers that will finish at 7.30pm and then they will take about 5 minutes setting up the courts.
For those who do go to club night, we’d be keen to hear your feedback on the hall as a venue.
